What if everyone always said No? This used to be me for so long. Some people might be surprised but not too long ago I would always say No. I said No to countless opportunities or simple outings with friends. It wasn’t until I was frustrated with work that I realized that the people that said Yes all the time were the ones that got ahead. It took some time but I was able to correct my mindset and I began to say Yes.
Lately I have been saying Yes even when I am overwhelmed because the alternative of saying No is so much worse in my mind. When I was approached to start my side gig ( although initially I did say No) I eventually said Yes and it has reaped amazing rewards, including an all expenses paid vacation to the Bahamas!
When I was asked to take on additional projects at work, I said Yes. I am now working closer with management, learning new skills that will last a lifetime and I am happier in my position with the company.
When I was asked to assist with my sons school I said Yes. It has made me feel closer to my child, I get to socialize with other families and I learn more about the teachers who he is spending his entire day with.
But what am I getting at here.
When I was asked to write for The South Bay Mommies and Daddies blog, even though I was running my own up and coming blog I said Yes. With my contributions to that blog (although not that many as of yet), I have decided that the best thing for me would be to take a step back from Organizing Motherhood. This will allow me to explore an opportunity to be part of something much bigger.
Initially my intent with Organizing Motherhood was a release of creative energy. But it began to turn into an administrative back end job as most blogs do. Now with such an amazing opportunity before me, I can expand my readership and really focus on my community without that added pressure.
You can read my new posts on the South Bay Mommies and Daddies Blog. I will also continue with all of my social media updates. I am super excited to be able to be part of something so much bigger than Organizing Motherhood. An entire community of mommies and daddies helping each other! Morale of the story is always say Yes, you truly never know what can happen once you do.
Thank you so much to all of my amazing readers and followers. Don’t worry I’m not going anywhere just shifting my posts to a new location!!! You can’t get rid of me that easily. Love you all!!!
