Dare to Compare, Why Every Parent Must Read This!

Dare to Compare! Why Every Parent Must Read ThisHello my wonderful readers, I had been drafting this post since yesterday, but low and behold the powers of the universe must have known what I was up to because an amazing offer popped in my email box this morning. I will share that a bit later!!! In today’s post I am doing a listing of all the ingredients in the three most recognizable baby shampoo’s in the United States. Below you will find Monat Junior Shampoo, Johnson’s Baby Shampoo and Honest Brand Purely Simple Shampoo and Body Wash.

In full disclosure I am a Monat Market Partner and I do intend to show you that Monat Junior is worth switching to. When it comes to our children and what we put on them and in them I am a full proponent of giving them the best.

When you become a parent everything else pales in comparison and your senses become heightened to what your children are being exposed to. Now I have read many an article about how certain chemicals and additives in our children’s shampoos has been leading to an increase in childhood cancers, this is why I sought out the best of the best. When Monat Junior was first introduced to me I was appreciative and thankful because up until then I had been using the Honest Brand which as you will see below has its concerns.

My research lead me to the EWG’s Cosmetic Database. I searched each and every ingredient individually. What is the EWG? “EWG provides information on personal care product ingredients from published scientific literature to supplement incomplete data available from companies and the government. EWG indicates the relative level of concern posed by exposure to the ingredients in a product – not the product itself. The ratings reflect potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any.”

How To Explain The Meaning Of Christmas To Your Toddler

How To Explain The Meaning Of Christmas To Your Toddler

In the middle of March I wrote a super successful post about the history and origin of St. Patrick’s day. I wanted to research it because honestly I didn’t know anything about it. Yet I was dressing Morgan in green head to toe! That post ended up launching a series of posts after I received multiple comments to create a post for each holiday. I will have to explain each holiday to Morgan anyway. What a better way than to actually learn the facts behind them. You can read all of my past posts below:

  1. St. Patrick’s Day
  2. Easter
  3. Mother’s Day
  4. Memorial Day
  5. Father’s Day
  6. Fourth of July
  7. Labor Day
  8. Halloween
  9. Thanksgiving

I learn so much from doing these posts, and I find that I really enjoy researching and writing them. Today I will be sharing with you How To Explain The Meaning Of Christmas To Your Toddler. There are so many individual celebrations, customs and traditions in December including my own country’s custom of Mikulas on December 6th. However for the purposes of today’s post I am going to focus on the Christmas celebration on December 25th in America.

As always I would like to thank my wonderful friend Google. Google was able to steer me in so many fascinating directions while researching this history. Prior to my research I had no idea that for a period of time in America Christmas was actually banned! Continue reading to find out more about this religious and cultural celebration we think that we know so well.

7 Of The Best Under $25 Toddler Gifts

7 Of The Best Under $25 Toddler Gifts

In my experience some of the best gifts that I have received have either been the gift with purchase or seriously something super cheap. Any one say Chocolate!!! Because I am so easy to please gift wise I started to think about how I was going to shop for my babies this holiday season. Morgan is almost two now so she will be much more aware of Christmas.

The more I brainstormed and the more I sent family members gift wish lists, I realized every item on the list was under $25. How can that be? Well it’s quite simple. Toddlers love what they love, and they don’t need elaborate things to make them happy. Morgan’s favorite toy to date is a matching game that my sister bought for her from the Target dollar section. A close second is an Amazon box and a crayon. She’s extremely easy to please.

However with the holidays coming up I do want to get her something special. I am listing below items that I have sent family members as our gift wish list: 7 Of The Best Under $25 Toddler Gifts. I listed approximate dollar amounts because sometimes Amazon uses a third party seller and the prices can vary, however they will only vary slightly.

As always I would like to thank my wonderful friend Google. Google was able to steer me in so many fascinating directions while researching this history. Prior to my research I had no idea what the name of the tribe was that the colonists celebrated the first Thanksgiving with, nor was I aware of why we celebrate on the third Thursday in November. Little did I know that the economy and stimulating spending was the hidden reason. I hope you truly learn as much as I did.

5 Must Have Products That Make Pregnancy More Comfortable

5 Must Have Products That Make Pregnancy More Comfortable.

As I’m now well into my third trimester I have noticed that I am becoming more and more uncomfortable. Sitting, standing, driving and sleeping all have their downsides. I don’t remember being this uncomfortable when I was pregnant with Morgan, but maybe that’s part of the whole after birth amnesia that people tell you about. Not remembering how much it hurts etc! Although I can assure you I still remember ever second of labor and birth and for some crazy reason I decided to do it all over again. Is it too late to turn back?

If Parker arrives early just like Morgan did then I only have three weeks to go! If he decides to cook until he’s full term I have 6 more weeks of discomfort. I don’t know which option I’m hoping for more, longer pregnancy or shorter discomfort?

I knew that in order to make these last few weeks the best that they can be that I would need to turn to my trusted friend Amazon for some ideas. Needless to say I went a little order happy but the items I found have really made a huge difference! I’m hoping that if you are pregnant (any trimester) that these products will work as well for you as they have been for me. Here they are:
